The mandatory sale of 50 % of foreign currency earnings for Russian exporters was abolished. Previously, Presidential Decree No. 360 of 09.06.2022, had already abolished the burden of the 50% compulsory sale of foreign currency by transferring the power to determine the amount of the aforementioned compulsory sale to the Government Commission for the Control of Foreign Investments in Russia. This decision, i.e. the abolition of the obligation to sell earnings in foreign currencies, will be applied to the export of goods and extended to all export contracts, regardless of the type of currency in which they are concluded. The presidential decree entered into force on 10 June 2022.
