The Raiffeisenbank – the Russian subsidiary of the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International – has temporarily stopped opening accounts for new corporate customers. The opening of new foreign currency accounts has been limited for existing corporate customers, a bank representative told the news magazine RBC. The spokesman cited a “record number of new account opening applications” and increasingly complex checks on payments by the correspondent banks as the reason.
