The president signed a law simplifying tax registration for foreign organizations when opening an account with a Russian bank. The previous simplified procedure, which was applied to the opening of a correspondent account with a Russian bank by a foreign credit institution, has been extended to all foreign organizations. Under this law, all organizations are no longer required to submit to the tax authorities the package of documents previously required for registration. All that is needed is for the Russian bank where the account was opened to send a request for registration to the tax authority of that country.
