The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has raised its forecast for Russia’s economic development. In March, the OECD had predicted that Russia‘s gross domestic product (GDP) would fall by 2.1% this year and 0.5% next year. The new forecast now assumes a reduced decline of 1.5% and -0.4%. The World Bank also published its June report on the global economy. In it, she confirmed her April forecast for the Russian economy. According to this, Russia‘s GDP will shrink by 0.2% this year and will already start to grow by 1.2% in 2024.
