In a survey conducted in August by Moscow’s Gaidar Institute, 77% of respondents said they would like to import machinery and equipment from Asian countries to Russia, especially China, India and Turkey. That is 18 percentage points more than last year. 63% of the companies surveyed rely on domestic technology, about the same number as in 2022. However, the demand for other foreign technology remains high, so 72% of the companies surveyed would continue to import Western European machines and systems to Russia if they could , which is ten percentage points more than in 2022 and seven percentage points more than in 2021.
