Foreign companies in Russia can count on the support of the authorities and on favorable conditions, Dmitry Birichevsky, director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with RIA Novosti. At the end of 2022, foreign subsidiary companies from the “unfriendly” countries that remained on the Russian market were able to significantly improve their financial performance and some of them recorded record growth in revenues, and it is not just a question of reduced competition due to companies that are gone. Furthermore, Birichevsky stressed that there is no risk for foreign companies that want to work in Russia and comply with the laws.
